- Silver Spiral Ring With Czech Crystal
As I have already mentioned I have been experimenting a lot with coiled silver wire, trying to create different and unique styles of jewellery. My latest efforts involve incorporating Czech glass crystal and glass pearls. I love the differing colours of Czech glass and try to combine them to make exciting colour combinations.
For the ring pictured on the left I used 0.8mm silver wire and coiled it to make the band. Using the same width of wire I attached several Czech glass crystal beads and glass pearls. I wiil be teaching the spiral technique when my new workshop/school opens in La Marina, Alicante on the 1st of June. Other courses available will be jewellery making with polymer clay, silver wire, art clay silver and bronze clay, dichroic glass and beading. I love this ring, the colour scheme is really nice too, having the ring made of the snake type chain is a great idea too.

I really loved this post. You explain this topic very well. Natural gemstones are found in nature. Laboratory-created stones, as the name implies, are made in a laboratory. These stones, which also are referred to as laboratory-grown, manufacturer-created, or synthetic, have essentially the same chemical, physical, optical, and visual properties as natural gemstones. Laboratory-created and imitation stones should be clearly identified as such. The basic unit for weighing gemstones is the carat, which is equal to one-fifth (1/5th) of a gram. Carats are divided into 100 units, called points. For example, a half-carat gemstone would weigh .50 carats or 50 points. Gemstone treatments or enhancements refer to the way some gems are treated to improve their appearance or resilience, or even change their color. Many gemstones are treated in some way. The effects of some treatments may lessen or change over time and some treated stones may require special care. Treatments and/or enhancements should always be disclosed by the seller.
